Standard free-energy calculations are made uming 1M concentrations of reactants, far in excess of actual cellular concentrations. Calculate the overall free-energy change when anaerobic glycolysis occurs under conditions similar to those existing in the intact cell, i.e., glucose=5mM; phosphate=1mM, ADP=0.5mM, ATP=3.0mM and lactate=3.0mM. What is the effect of raising the lactate concentration to 100mM
