Help, im deadly confused with this girl?

It all started last Nov, i was waiting for the lunch bell to ring and i was outside the cafeteria, i was just standing there, then i saw her. I saw this girl that i will call "Jess", to me it looked like she was looking back at me when i was looking at her, then i promised myself i would talk to her. I never had the courage to talk to her, so eventually i forgot about her. Then one day in late Dec i sat on this table and then i saw Jess, my cheeks started to blush when i saw her but she didn't notice. So over Christmas break i decided that i must talk to her when we get back. So when the time came i was freaking nervous, i've never talked to her before. So i finaly went to talk to her. Ive been talking to her since. So then i decided to take a step fowards and on valentines day i brought her roses and i told her how i felt about her and i asked her out, she told me that she had to think about it then she said she just came out of a serious relation and wasnt ready for a bf--------
