Try and put in two weeks' notice if you can hang in there that long; even if you can't, a simple statement like "this isn't working out for me, so I am going to have to resign" ought to be sufficient. Even if you're not planning on using it as a reference, you will be surprised how many people you will cross paths with over time--- you never know when someone from this job ends up being the hiring manager 8 jobs into the future. Don't burn your bridges.
