How to get rid of corns on your toes?

Ok yesterday me and my friend was walking home from school and she was walking really slowly and i asked her why she was walkin so slow and she said that she has corns and it hurts really badly. she asked me what to do and i dont know because i've never haad them. shes always there for me when i need her and i want to be there for her. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of corns without surgery
