I have this hard drive that I accidentally skidded, but smart says it's fine?

I was working on it while it was on because I was dumb and hated that startup time, the hard drive case is a separate removable part of my old chis, and I dropped it while the hard drive was working and it made a horrible skidding sound. I have since learned more about what's inside, and the smart status says it's completely fine and that it just needs formatting... I'm confused. The hard drive also failed like 2 years ago and I just pulled it out to see how many good sectors I have for extra storage, it says I have all 160 gb, or 149 which is what i had before
