Is being a virgin equal to being old-fashioned (or un-liberated) for modern western women?

Keeping one's virginity is equal to being liberated. The old way was to have as soon as you hit puberty, in pre-civilized times, and get abortions if a pregnancy resulted and you couldn't handle having a baby. Remaining a virgin is a sign of a (true) progressive society and, like most facets of civilization, is complained about by many who equate pleasure with freedom.
