Painfull and small lump any ideas?

I went to the doctors last week with what i thought to be a swallon armpit, which i umed was cancer. When the doctor was feeling it she asked if it was tender, and i said yes, she then told me that cancerous lumps and swellings don't tend to be tender, so that isn't a myth. Maybe you should go and see your doctor to put your mind at rest?
