Question about starship troopers?

I read it when I was in junior high school, long before the movie version was filmed, and I enjoyed it. The movie is considerably different, and it doesn't feature the "smart suits" the trooper wear into combat.The movie also makes "the Bugs" literally just big insects, where the enemy was alien but more or less humanoid in the novel. The tone of the book and the movie are very similiar, and I think that if you enjoyed the movie you will probably like the book as well and perhaps even better.
