Did Japans major companys get effected bu the earthquake? I heard sony is going to halt production.Is thisTrue?

I know this Isn't the right time to speak about something about this but my sister said that she red an article that the earthquake also destroyed parts of sony's facililties and they are going to halt production and/or this coudl jeopordize the company in general. Does anyone know if this is true?
