Missing so many days.Court?

I am a 6 grader and I have already hit 10 days. Im not going today due to my horse went lame. My granny called and said it was a Serious Family Emergency. Do you think that theyll will understand and not let it count? When my other granny died the excused it,so do you think they will excuse this? And I wont go to court. If we end up going. Who has to go,and what do they do?
